Can't connect to the Firefox AddOns site

I'm not sure if this is a Firefox or Feisty Fawn problem but since upgrading the latter I've not been able to access the Firefox addons website. Having scoured here and various other sites I can see I'm not the only person but I've not been able to find a way to fix it.

If there's something blindingly obvious please just point me at it.

I had the same problem on Edgy but it disapeared when i upgraded to feisty. What version of Firefox/Swiftfox are you using?

I'm using 2.0.0.4 but that doesn't appear to be the problem. Looks like a firewall issue as once I disabled Guarddog it worked fine. So there's obviously something I need to switch on in the firewall but not sure what to be honest as I'm not sure what the addons site asks for.

Here's what I did: allow connections on any port from Local to Internet.
It basically lets any outbound connection happen. I have never run into a problem like this.
