Resize image doesn't work correctly in gwenview and Digikam

Hello,
I found an annoying problem in few popular graphics programs - Gwenview and Digikam.
If I try to resize an image using batch resizing plugin, I only receive a one colour image. The colour is the one I select in the resize options "Background colour" option.
Is there a way ignore this option?
