Quake3 and .sh

I´m trying to install Quake3. When from terminal I type sh setup.sh I get the following error,
setup.sh: 9: function: not found
x86
I see bash is installed, what am I doing wrong.

Bash may be installed - but sh by (K)Ubuntu default points to Dash (further ranting >)

Therefore, you may try /bin/bash setup.sh instead

You are quite right UnicornRider. I typed sudo bash setup.sh and it installed OK but now wont run. Iĺl get there in the run
