I just posted about my Media Computer and the sharing problem I was having regarding the icons on the desktop. Now I have a bit more of technical problem.
The computers hardware is:
P4 3.0ghz
ATI 9550 AGP
1gb ram
Kubuntu 7.04
Linux does not recognize my TV's Resolution correctly, I have it hooked up from a DVI to HDMI cable. As of now its generating a picture that is too large for the screen and its getting cut off.
When I used a Mac Mini on this TV I could deselect Overscan from the graphics to right this problem. When I used Windows on a computer hooked to this I had an Nvidia graphics card and it let me on the fly resize the screen till it filled correctly.
If anyone can help me the resolution its supposed to display is 1280x768.
I attached the Xorg.conf file, I have made no changes to it. I understand I probably have to install some drivers before any changes I make to it will take effect, trouble is I have no idea what drivers.
