disable icons on desktop for mounted volumes

I am mounting a bit over a dozen network shares through fstab on my computer hooked to my TV, I need to know if there is a way to disable these from showing up on the desktop.

Right-click > Configure Desktop > Behavior > Device Icons > Mounted NFS share. (If it's a Samba share, then uncheck that.)
    For external use only.

Thanks, I am not familar at all with KDE but that worked well enough. I also had to check disabled shares in order to get rid of some... even though they work fine and are not disabled...
