SOLVED -- Konqueror opens almost everything in firefox

If I type in a URL into the location bar in konqueror (eg. http://www.google.com, man:/dd, ftp:// .....) it will try to open that URL in firefox. There are a few protocols(?) that konqueror will open: file://, locate:, smb:/, media:/, but the rest it will try to open in firefox. Since firefox doesn't use the kio slaves, it can't open anything except http://

In KDE Control Center > KDE Components > Default Applications > Web Browser if have tried all different options and but konqueror still opens everything in firefox. I don't know where all of the konqueror configuration files are but I havn't been able to find any relevant settings in all of the konqueror related config files in ~/.kde/share/config.

How can I configure konqueror to open all protocols(http, ftp, man, ...)?
in the text/html I had told it to view in a seperate viewer rather then in the embedded Khtml viewer. So I just told it to use Khtml
Working...
