    no menus Amarok 1.4.6

I upgraded to the latest version as soon as it was available, using the repository made available by Kubuntu. But most of the pull-down menus aer blank! Anybody else seeing this problem? :P

All the menus show up here. Try to restart or reconfigure or reinstall. It might just need a jumpstart.
    ~$sudo make me a sandwich

No joy on any point. Reinstalling doen't do anything to it. I tried to uninstall, but if I do that, apt-get wants to uninstall the entire Kubuntu desktop along with it.

Really? You sure you're just uninstalling Amarok?

Open up Konsole and execute "sudo apt-get --purge remove amarok". This should only remove Amarok. If it does anything else, there's something seriously wrong.

            Yeah. There's something seriously wrong.

Umm... I know I saw a way to change the state of the package, but I can't find it now...
Try "sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop", then removing Amarok again.
