I woke up today to adept wanting to update ( i havent yet) because it wants to remove a whole bunch of programs I USE ON THE DAILY BASIS. please look @ pic

I suggest you cancel one of the removes and see what happens.

well yeah...you have narrow it down to the package(s) that wanna "do the removin". this happens occasionally when a package's dependencies are updated/changed and those dependencies are available yet. (version or whatever).

I just took a look at what is beeing removed. That is all gnome stuff. Did you have gnome on there somewhere and somehow got rid of it? Or are you using both?

Just an idea but I thought I would ask

i solved the problem by removing a testing mozilla repo.
