vmware installation & unresolvable dependencies (Resolved - trying Qemu!)

Hi.

I'm trying to install vmware-server via Synaptic PM.

Got a list of other packages to load but when I 'marked' them I got this warning:

'Could not mark all packages for installation or upgrade'.

This was followed by a list of three items i.e.

'Depends vmware-server-kernels-modules but it is uninstalllable.

Same comment was made for: ia32-libs-gtk and libssI0.9.7

Is this because I am running an AMD 64 bit box or some other reason.

Any help to resolve this would be great.
