I used to run Ubuntu and I really liked the Openoffice toolbar icons when run in Gnome. Does any one know if its possible to "import"? the theme into openoffice under Kubuntu?

AFAIK, the toolbar icons in OOo are exactly the same, irrespective of DE. Perhaps your defaults have changed? Open OOo and go: Tools > Options > View and play with the dropdown under "Icon size and style". HTH. -

Yeah, I'm pretty sure those aren't linked to KDE in any way.
But if I do a Google search for "screenshot openoffice ubuntu", one of the top results is a bug report with this image, which does show a different set of icons. Is this what you were talking about?For external use only.Comment

I can't open the screenshot at work were behind a "blocker" software, but since writting this post i've learned a bit about where and how icons are stored and used. Yes i think your right about Oo themes being independant. Thanks!! I think i'll just do some exploring in Oo prefs.Comment
