can't have the bloody thing to accept 1280x800.
it's there in xorg.conf, but i start it up and it's always only 1024x768.
the laptop has got an intel 950 chip driven by the i810 module and a 15.4" wxga lcd.
it wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't that, of course, everything gets stretched.
'cause 1280x800 is 16x10 and 1024x768 is 4x3...
i'd be tempted to throw the crappy laptop out of the window,
but it's got to go as a prize to some kid...so i must try to fix it.
this adds to acer not wanting to refund the unused vista license.
so i'm really pretty pissed off with acer at the moment.
any tips anybody? >
