Wine How Do I Set It As Default For Exe Programs

    Hi Guys,

I have a question and couldn't find it in the Wine Documentation.

I installed Wine so I could run my label making program I use in Windows for DVD cases because I couldn't find one that did it in Linux.

How do I make it so that when I double click or just click on a exe program it knows to open and run wine to install the program. Also I didn't see a GUI for installing windows programs with wine after installing it just one for uninstalling.

    Thanks for any help.

    1) Associate wine program with wine:

Right click on a .exe file, select open with, select other.

In the box type wine, mark "Remember this association...". Click Ok.

    2) GUI for wine.

The better tool that I find is crossover office. It's a commercial app, but they owners are also the main wine funders. So buying it will help the OS cause.

There are other tools, lately there have been a lot of talking about wine-doors. It's still alpha, and somewhat difficult to install but looks very promising.
