OK. Is there a way to have the "Trash Can" on the Desk Top where the Full/Empty works as intended? I tried a "link" but that just showed a Full Trash Can all the time. I would also like to be able to change the icons for Full and Empty as well.

Re: One Of My Famous "Stupid Questions"
It does down in the panel. I don't really like my Trash Can in the panel. I would like it on the DT, but when I created a link to it, the Icon it uses for "trash:/" is always the "Full" icon. Basically it appears to be just that, a link and not an "interactive" type link. Did I do better explaining
Found this. I'll give it a try:

Re: One Of My Famous "Stupid Questions"
It should already be there, only hidden...to unhide, edit ~/Desktop/trash.desktop (with a text editor), change
NoDisplay=true
to
NoDisplay=false
If you don't have trash.desktop (for some reason) you can create it (with a text editor)
[Desktop Entry]
Comment=Contains removed files
EmptyIcon=trashcan_empty
Encoding=UTF-8
Icon=trashcan_full
Name=Trash
NoDisplay=false
OnlyShowIn=KDE
Type=Link
URL=trash:/

Re: One Of My Famous "Stupid Questions"
Thanks! kubicle.
Had to create the file, but that worked great!!!!
Even was able to incorporate my own Trash Can icons!
That was easy, better than the Karamba gidget that didn't work anyway!

Kubicle;
Thanks again. This little bit actually helped me on another issue. Trying to get KSmoothDock to autoload and log on. Went through the system settings to place it in but on log in I got a "Type=" error. Because you wrote this earlier, I knew EXACTLY what it was looking for!! Thanks!!!
