So I am using feisty kubuntu and just installed ruby through adept.
Which works fine I am able to run simple programs just fine.
I read somewhere that I should not install gems from the repositories so I didn't
I have it in /opt right now. When I run the simple code from here http://rubygems.org/read/chapter/4
the out put shows only one line of the progresss bar and doesn't show multiple..
I run the same thing on my excuse me for say this dirty word here windows box and it shows multiple lines of the progress bar... any idea why that might be?
