I've just switched to linux yesterday, and now I'm wondering if there are any good alternatives to limewire, shareza, ect. I could only find one topic about this through searching, and it didn't seem to help much.

Re: p2p or filesharing programs
there are plenty of linux p2p apps (most of them in the repos)
gtk-gnutella, frostwire - alternative to limewire
amule - for eDonkey network
linuxdc++, valknut - DC++
apollon - gnutella and OpenFT networks
ktorrent (installed by default, i believe), azureus - torrents
and probably others i can't think of right now

Re: p2p or filesharing programs
Every time I try to load up the server list on amule it crashes, I've got ktorrent but every time I try to download a movie or video it says it's encrypted and can't open, and I can't find frostwire in the adept catalogue thing but I don't know how install stuff on linux without that, because I'm so used to windows and it's executables.

Re: p2p or filesharing programs
if you click (direct link)
http://www.frostwire.com/download/?f...u&sid=57491847
that will download the .deb installer file, it should work just like your windows .exe's
it will open up the package installer and install just as installsheild would and then its done! easy as!
