Why is a Windows program on the Kubuntu disk?

On the Kubuntu 7.04 Live CD there is a folder containing the file FirefoxSetup.exe/What's the point of putting this Windows executable file on a Kubuntu CD? The file would be useful to me if it were for Linux.

I have the feeling that I'm missing something very important here. If so, perhaps the answer to my question could improve my knowledge of Linux significantly. I hope so.

    Thanks.

The Desktop (Live) CD, ever since Dapper or Breezy I think, has had these Free and Open Source Software for Windows. When you put in the CD while running Windows, you will be able to install a number of open source software. Sort of a sampler of the available open source software.

This is part of the Open CD project by Canonical. http://www.theopencd.org/

Most if not all of those apps have nothing to do with MS windows. The are just versions that will run on a windows platform. Most of those app also have Linux and some Mac versions. Just a small demonstration of the free an open source software world.
