All my desktop icons are fine except for when i create a file and save it to the desktop. I created 2 files in Openoffice and saved them to the desktop, but they are transparent and almost invisible(except for the file name). How do I turn this feature off? I have tried different styles and icon sets.

Re: Desktop icons are transparent.
That's specific to OASIS documents. Since there's no background set on the document, it defaults to transparent. (This is shown as white in OpenOffice.org, etc.)
It bugs me, too... I'm not sure it's changeable without changing the OASIS document. For external use only.

Re: Desktop icons are transparent.
¿What about disabling Koffice documents preview in Konqueror?
BTW, the thumbnail displayed by konqueror is the Thumbnails/thunbnail.png file inside the doc. It doesn't have to be transparent, nor does changing it in any way affect how the real document is open by Open Office or another app.
I know it for sure, as I have build an app that generates quite complex ods files from some templates. As I don't update the png file, any file that I made shown the original template thumbnail until you open and save it from OO. Talking about bugs .
Javier.
