Firefox fails to update screen

I have Firefox 2.0.0.3 installed. Frequently, when I click on a link on any webpage, the new webpage that should come up doesn't show. I have to resize the window to force kde to repaint the screen and only then does the page render. It seems like a problem of firefox failing to tell kde to repaint the window.

¿Does anyone else have the same problem? ¿Is there any solution?

In some occasion when I switch between FF and Thunderbird, only FF shown on the window even when TB is on the title bar, so I think this may be a problem of the OS not individual apps.
