I installed Ubuntu desktop for test, but find it has problem with power save, where X crashes when wake up from sleep, so I decided to switch back to KDE but find no way to do it, I even remove Ubuntu desktop but it still there after boot. Then I install Kubuntu desktop again but still no dice, Gnome takes control and become the only desktop available, I remember in older version I've the choice of windows manager when logon but no longer exist in Feisty.

Re: Can't switch back to KDE
Thanks for the info., I think I will reinstall the whole thing as I mess up something else too, now it keeps asking me the host name connect to when boot up. Btw I have some stupid questions, what is the difference between apt-get and aptitude ? and what is the safest way to install multiple desktop and can switch around them, I can do this in older versions but can't now, I think something has changed.Do you Yahoo ? No I hiccup only :P
