thank you, but it don't help me!!
I have a clean installation of kubuntu.
I downloaded kget to have a download manager for iso download.
All on my machine related to the net works, but kget don't download.
it says: "Could not connect to the host. http://mirrors.evolva.ro/kdeftp/unst...686-0.1.0.iso"
But this hosts works, if I download with the firefox downloader.
      Why? >

          But for huge downloads?
Can I resume a paused download with firefox?
          It don't overload the RAM?
Firefox, my favorite of course, have some problems with memory usage. This don't slow my cpu and my connection?

O.k., o.k., back to square one, then:

            Code:
            sudo apt-get --purge remove kget
            sudo apt-get install kget
(Reasoning: on my up-to-date test system, the standard package Kget I've installed a few minutes ago, works out of the box / like a charm - leading me to the assumption that your installation is erroneous.)

              Please, listen to me.
              I installed a clean kubuntu.
But I had a home partition with my data.
I copied the .kde (only shared/apps) and .kget directory. Like .firefox .mozilla-thunderbird .openoffice
              Then kget didn't work.
              Can you help me?
