    k9copy SIGSEGV

I have used k9copy with feisty for a while. All was well.

Now whenever I try to run it I immediately get a SIGSEGV.
I did make a couple of changes.
    Under 'Settings' 'Configure k9copy'
Exactly where, I forget and I can't run it but I turned on 'use OpenGL ??' and another option on that menu. As soon as I selected 'Apply' the application died with a SIGSEGV.
I have looked for the .rc file so I can manually change the setting. I even did a total remove with synaptic and reinstall. No joy.

    Any suggestions?

      When you say
I even did a total remove with synaptic and reinstall
You are talking about removing with the option of purge? Purge should remove all settings relative to the application.

        Re: k9copy SIGSEGV

I remember doing this a while back, it's the preview in OpenGL setting that does it, and tried the purge option which didn't work for me.

The reason is that it did not remove a user config file.

In konqueror, select view hidden files and in your home directory go to .kde/share/config and remove the K9copy file. That will clear all settings. No need even to uninstall.

That was it. Thanks. I knew it had to be a config file somewhere but I couldn't find it.

I am having that same problem with k9copy. I removed the config files as suggested but it still crashes about 20% thru each rip. I don't know what the problem is. I used to work just fine. I even tried a full removal and reinstall but it's still not working.

It seems that every time a normal upgrade comes via the updater ... something breaks on my system. And here we go yet again ...
