What is segmentation fault

Hi there,

Some of my apps crashed with seg fault which they ran well in the beta, I wonder what is seg fault it sounds like memory fault to me, but I checked the memory is fine, so what seg fault is all about ?

In short: an application (read: process) trying to access memory it is not supposed (read: allowed) to ... (more details).

Since I did not design the apps and it worked fine with the beta, so there must be something wrong with my system, but beside download and install again there is no other way for me to 'fix' that
