Where to find default package set

I removed some ruby something package, and when Adept started removing that package it removed a package called kde-minimal, and with it a lot of other packages. So I manually reinstalled some packages, but I think that there are some core packages I didn't reinstall.

Is there a way I could find on the dvd, or if anyone can give me a list a packages which are installed when Kubuntu is installed?

Install kubuntu-desktop--that's a "metapackage" that just points to all the packages in a default installation.
Linux is ready for the desktop--but whose desktop?<br />How to install software in Kubuntu
