Amarok not playing MP3's over network <solved>

Not sure if this is an amarok or samba problem, maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I've all my MP3's stored on an NAS server. I can browse the server no problem from within Konqueror. However when I double click on a song Amarok shows a message about network problems or URL not supported and shows the address smb://xxx

From reading here in the forums I realise that I have to install codecs for Amarok (will do this when I get home this evening) but I've a feeling theirs more to this than just missing codecs!

Got this sorted. Combination of problems.
Amorak didn't have codecs installed.
While I was able to view my network shares I found out that I needed to install samba server as only the client was installed. I then had to mount the drive containing my Music as Amorak will only play from a mounted drive!
