Well, in my infinite wisdom I decided I would install tomcat 5.5.20 via Adept. It installed OK and when I ran:
sudo sh /usr/share/tomcat5.5/bin/startup.sh
to start the thing up. Not sure why it was installed in /usr/share but going to localhost:8080 got me nothin excpet "problem loading page."
Well I thought I'll just run my netbeans and access it's tomcat so I can run this war file I just downloaded. (Netbeans had been running fine.)
Ack, now my netbeans tell's me it has a problem loading the jdk. It's toast.
So somehow installing tomcat wrecked by jdk path?!
So I thought I'd try uninstalling netbeans and reinstalling. Uh uh, Adept tells me there are breakage problems.
So I'm slowly wrecking my nice fiesty install. (Best I ever had.)
Can someone help a poor netbeans user fix his java install so I can reinstall netbeans.
