Programs for administrasjon of windows 2003 servers

If you run Kubuntu on the desktop, and have a Widows 2003 server with a fileserver and also a dhcp-server in the network, are there programs you can run on the Kubuntu machine so you can administer the server ? I know I need to use samba.
I have administrations permissions on the server. When I use a xp desktop I can use programs that give me info about the adresses, names and mac-adresses on everything in the network. Is there a program i can use on Kubuntu that could give the same info ?

Is Remote Desktop not an option on this server? Most MS 2003 Servers allow remote desktop administration, at least that is how they are setup in my company's network.
