    Solved: Argouml

Can anybody tell me what i should do to get Argouml to work.

I just extract argouml in /usr/local/argouml.
then I go into this directory i type in java -jar argouml.jar
After this nothing happens. In top I see that the process gij takes up 96.4% of my cpu power.

I have read something about j2re but i can't find if i should install this or download it from some place.

    Greetings

    Re: Argouml

J2re is the java runtime enviroment. You can install it with adept (search for java), but it's likely that you have it already installed.

If you didn't the java command should probably return an error.

There are quite a couple of java versions, so maybe the problem is that this program expects one different from the one you have installed.

    Again check it with adept.

      Re: Argouml

I have installed JRE 6. But it still doesn't work.
And actually i have no idea what i'm doing wrong.

Maybe somebody knows another UML-designer tool?
(Not Umbrello because i want to get rid off that program)

        Re: Argouml

I hadn't got my multiverse repositories on.
That's why I had no jre and that is the reason argoUml didn't work
        so This thing is solved
