Lmsensors--(Solved)--

I just got lmsensors working and detections are fine but they're still a few things wrong. It seems to have confused my M/B temp and CPU temp, My CPU is 29c while my motherboard is 36c. It should be the other way around. How can i fix this and what is temp 3?

Is it also possible to get all this info displayed in a a widget or something similar?

You can display the output of lmsensors in the KSysguard monitor (it's kinda ugly, but there you go.....).

I assume you ran, in a console window,

 sudo sensors-detect

Did you observe any problems with it, as it went through the sensors? It ran fine on my Intel motherboard and associated stuff -- it's pretty impossible to tell remotely what your system configuration might be, and how that would affect the results of the sensors-detect routine.

I am using ksensors and have it set up to display several options it listed. My motherboard and CPU sensors showed up reversed also. I just right clicked on the ksensors icon on the panel and clicked on configure to retype what I wanted it to say.

I finally found out what Temp 3 is...Chipset...

My temp 3 varies from -5 to 20. I have no idea what it is.

I wish it were that low. I think.

Anyway, tried changing the sensor type... now it goes into the hundreds (positive and negative). I've just turned it off entirely.
