How can i tell what version ivtv is installed?

Since its built in now, i have no idea what command to use to show the version of ivtv. The problem is that with my Hauppage 150 card, ivtv timesout after about 20 minutes. I have to restart the computer to get it back running. I am trying to see if it is a problem with that version or something. Has this happened to anyone else?

much easier way, assuming you installed it via a package manager: dpkg -s ivtv (or any other package you wanna know).

i like using this command cuz its easier & quicker than opening my package manager to check.
