How can i start a software which i just installed?

I just installed a "libgpod" via Adept Manager, but i can't find it in K menu.
and i found that i also installed kmplayer which can't be found in K menu either.

libgpod is a library they never show up in the menu. Libraries usually are utilities used by other applications.

To get Kmplayer in the menu try logging out and then back in. If that doesn't work then you can always start the app by press 'alt + F2' and typing in kmplayer. Otherwise you can manually enter kmplayer into the menu by press 'alt+F2' again and type in 'kmenuedit' (w/o the quotes).
