KMail can't send emails.

it's strange, because i can receive emails but i can't send.
and there isn't error or message saying why i can't.

My host is : smtp.gmail.com
My name is my email address.
port is 465.

Security->Encryption is SSL.

Have you checked the 'server requires authentication' box on the sending server setup? If not, you will need to do so and enter your full email address in the login box

No, it's still not working.

i checked, and stored my name, password etc.
but still can't send email...

Sorry, I don't know. I just set up my gmall account in Kmail to see if was working/not working, but it seems to be sending fine for me

By any chance are you using a firewall like Guarddog? If so will need to open up the ports to Gmail in the advanced tab (at least for Guarddog).

Okay, I am using TB and set my smtp (gmail) port to 587. I don't know about kmail but maybe you are using the wrong port??

i 'm not sure about this. but after i change the domain "gmail.com" to "googlemail.com", i can send emails.
