I have started again with testing of a new version, Was wondering if anyone else has done the same
Me too - (waves hand in the air) - I know its almost too sad for words but I loved watching Feisty grow stronger update by update. Now I can't wait to see how Gutsy turns out.....
Did it few days ago also, I wish it will grow higher than feisty during its testing, it was really nice to test 7.04, only one crash in 6 months of test (solved by chrooting in)
About .22 kernel, didn't try yet, maybe tonight if I have some time.
Tried the latest .22 (1-5 version) and it works with my ipw2200 and wep support, I had to manually create the folder /lib/firmware/2.6.22-1-generic and put there the firmware downloaded from ipw2200 website.
this is just my opinion but.... i'm tired of ppl whining all the time after the upgrade to the clearly better version of the distro (c'mon, it gets better in almost every way). do a clean install and i guarantee you will avoid many of the problems of an upgrade. if you don't want to do that, then don't upgrade since you should prolly know better by now... (as in i'd bet that ppl have done it before at least once).
