    KPDF and .asp Files

I have downloadad a "PDF" file from my healthcare provider's web site and saved it to my hard disk. However, it doesn't have a .pdf extension; instead it has a .asp extension. I can't get KPDF to read it.

Is there a secret to reading .asp files?

Is there another Linux application that can read and print .asp files?

    Many thanks.

Usually asp files are HTML files generated by ISS.

    .asp are never PDF.

You can probably view the .asp file with any web browser (firefox or konqueror). It's probably just a script redirecting you to the real pdf.

      Re: KPDF and .asp Files

I just found out that if I rename the .asp file to be a .pdf file, KPDF opens it fine!!

I had even tried "Open with..." using KPDF, but it wouldn't open it, until I renamed the
      file.

I also tried opening the .asp file with Firefox, but that wouldn't open it either.

      Go figure.
