Hopefully someone has an idea why add remove/ programs (adept installer) isn't updating.
When I go into adept package manager or into add remove programs The list is not updated. It shows what I have installed but doesn't allow me to see what is available to download?
If for example in Adept Manager if you choose firefox and request to download and then choose apply changes, and error "there was an error commiting changes. Possibly there was a problem downloading some packages of the commit would break packages." appears.
I've tried rebooting to see if this would clear it up, but there still is a problem.
in konsole I tried apt-get updates, but once again nothing.
tried sudo apt-get auto clean and dpkg --configure -a, but still this hasen't helped.
Any ideas
