hey everyone, it seems that my sound on kubuntu is much much lower then on windows, does anyone know what is wrong with it. also when i turn the volume up to full for songs it starts to go really fuzzy and make tons of static noise.

I've found when I had the distorted sound I went to KMix and on the PCM slider (if you have that) I turned it down about a 1/4 of the way (mine was set at 100%). After that the distortion went away when the main volume was turned up. I haven't notice any real volume differences with my system, although it is those laptop built in type which typically sound muted anyway. -

I had the same problem, when I reconfigured my sound card with the correct into, it fixed it.Your effort to remain what you are is what limits you.Comment
