Openoffice 2.2.0-1ubuntu3 crashes

Hi guys,

When I'm trying to use wizard to add new dictionaries, Openoffice crashes. After the crash Openoffice is trying to recover the document/wizard, without luck.

Any solution or patch for this?

There is none - not yet, that is ... I just wanted to point at this "OOo-specific" forum, as from my experience, in case of assumedly application-specific problems, forums dedicated to the application in question might prove more helpful than our rather generic one(s).

the thing is, that this issue hapends only on Kubuntu, not on Ubuntu, not in windows... so it might be a Kubuntu issue, and i know this for a fact on 2 different computers a PC and a Laptop... very different both with Kubuntu feisty, so it might be harder to find the answer on OOo web page..

i am posting this on both forums since they are both bouncing the problem form one site to the other, who is right who is wrong... who knows... maybe both

Be that as it may - an apt-get --purge remove of Open Office "complete", followed by an apt-get install openoffice.org (from Kubuntu's official repositories) has resolved this problem on my test system by means of the current version 2.2.0.1-4 (!).

Be that as it may - an apt-get --purge remove of Open Office "complete", followed by an apt-get install openoffice.org (from Kubuntu's official repositories) has resolved this problem on my test system by means of the current version 2.2.0.1-4 (!).
