Video player problem

I have problem playing vcd, I tried 4 different player but they all failed, namely Kaffine, gxine, mplayer and vlc, when I play the disc the player quited itself, but playing DVD is ok, this is rather strange I don't have this problem with the pre-beta, I think something gone wrong in the xorg.

I finally fixed that by changing the display engine, it was default set to a display hardware I don't have, I wonder why this happen as the system correctly ID my card, and this doesn't happen in earlier versions.

On my re-install yesterday I ended up having to set my video hardware settings three times before it actually took. Was very strange every time I would restart xorg it would reset to some random setting... but the third time was the charm, maybe the fourth.. not sure.

I wouldn't even know how to write this up as a bug report.

Yeah that's what bugging me ! everything related to the display acting strange.
