Open a Konsole and type
sudo su
type your password and then
echo "et.x86 0 0 direct" > /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/oss
Hit Enter
Fire up the game, now your should have sound, the only "thing" is that you will have to do this every time you reboot the computer.
If you browse the Ubuntu Forums you will find some scripts to make the command to start with every system reboot.
