Monitor Power Saving not working!? (solved)

Hi

I am running Kubuntu 7.04 Feisty Beta1. It seems that the monitor Power Saving is not working. When I set a time in the Powermanager to turn the monitor off nothing happens after the given time, the monitor remains on. The setting seems to have no effect at all.

Anybody can confirm this? Or am I the only one?

Was my mistake...

it is necessary to enter administrator mode before making the changes. Now it works as it should.
