I fell in love with Edy's Konqueror

That was the coolest web browser I ever seen. And I want it back. The ability to load multiple tabs and then save that as a profile was way cool. Each time I loaded Konqueror all my favorite webpages would load. My Yahoo Mail, This Forum, My Home Directory, and more were just a tab click away. This Fiesty Browser loads in a minimalistic way with barely enough buttons to surf the web. I even had to manually put in the Bookmarks button!

I am not familiar with Konqueror and my favorite is Firefox, it can do similar things you like, it has multiple tabs as well I think they first invented it.
Do you Yahoo ? No I hiccup only :P

I think Feisty uses dolphin as its web browser you can still use the file manager konqueror as your browser no big changes needed

Err...last I heard, there were plans to make Dolphin the default file manager in KDE4, with konqueror still the browser.
Feisty still has konqueror as the default browser and file manager :P

Firefox is a valid browser, but tabbed browsing has existed years before firefox (and even mozilla)

Hmm...have they skinned down the UI even further in feisty?
You can get the vanilla konqueror back (with view profile management etc.)
I've edited my rc files by hand, but you might wish to try this first (written for breezy/dapper so I'm not sure if it's still valid):http://www.kubuntu.org/faq.php#konqueror
I also remember a few quick howtos for konqueror-dekubuntufication in the forums, try searching as well.

Of course back-up before making changes.

In case you need the tip, here is one of the edits on my konqueror.rc (this should put view profile saving back to the settings menu):
<Menu noMerge="1" name="settings" >
<text>&Settings</text>
<Action name="options_show_menubar" />
<Merge name="StandardToolBarMenuHandler" />
<Separator/>
<Action name="fullscreen" />
<Separator/>
<Action name="saveViewPropertiesLocally" />
<Action name="removeLocalProperties" />
<Separator/>
<Action name="loadviewprofile" />
<Action name="saveviewprofile" />
<Action name="saveremoveviewprofile" />
<Separator/>
<Action name="options_configure_extensions" />
<Action name="configurespellcheck" />
<Action name="options_configure_keybinding" />
<Action name="options_configure_toolbars" />
<Action name="options_configure" />
</Menu>

My Konqueror loads the five tabs I saved as URLs within the web browsing profile And if I load other pages getting them back is just a click or two away, Settings->Load View Profile->Web Browsing

Just curious why would you want a Bookmarks button? Have you somehow removed the Menu 'toolbar'?

Best Wishes,

Well this is interesting. I didn't remove the Menu 'toolbar' And it isn't even an option to add it. (ie select an area near the top of the browser window->right click->Toolbars) I installed Fiesty and Loaded Konqueror and had only the locations toolbar, tabs, and the browser view. Am I missing something? Whwere is Settings->Load View Profile->Web Browsing? In K->Settings->I only have Emerald Theme Manager.

EDIT: This just in. I don't have a menu bar on my Konsole either. What gives?

Try pressing Ctrl+M to get your menu bar back on apps where they are missing. (Ctrl+M shows/hides the menu bar)

Well...that worked. Why were they gone? And will this put the menu back permanently? Now I can continue my romance with Konqueror!

It's only permanent until the next time you press Ctrl+M again.

As to why they disappeared, I have no clue. They certainly weren't removed/hidden by default on Feisty.
