I got a strange problem when playing VCD, some times the default player can't play the disc and crashed after the video shown for a short while, but the same disc I can play as VCDO, what is the difference between VCD and VCDO anyway ? on the other hand VLC seems to work better and can play most of the media type the default player can't play.

Re: VCD player
ick, i used vlc on windows for a while before i discovered mplayer. then i got on linux and found kaffeine. never used anything since, but i keep kmplayer installed in the rare case i can't play something with kaffeine. i wouldn't consider using vlc on linux now.
afa the vcd question you're asking, i believe what you're referring to is the device or mount point...<br />
