I am curious if anyone else is experiencing. I did the Feisty upgrade the other day (64 bit). Yesterday I had update available so I downloaded and installed. Today, more updates, not a problem, except 14 did not update and still show as needing update. O.K., so I try to click on them to tell them to upgrade and it says BREAK so I canceled the upgrades. Why does it tell you there are upgrades available if performing the upgrades would break something? They are all related to Open Office.

Re: Beta Upgrades and Adept Question
Clicked on it again this afternoon and there were many more updates. This time all the Open Office stuff updated. Guess I have to get use to some package updates arriving in the repositories before others and packages will not update until the correct libs and other required packages are also updated.

Re: Beta Upgrades and Adept Question
Wow "... 56 upgradeable ... Download: 104M ..." was the message I got on my Feisty system tonight when I checked the Adept Updater.
I think maybe sometimes the "solution" to Beta software issues is simply to wait 24 hours!

Re: Beta Upgrades and Adept Question
I was shocked as well, but to be honest, the best way to test these is for as many people to get them and use them as possible. If you are worried about just having a stable system, then by all means wait that 24 hours, but then this is a beta version and by trying it you are volunteering to help test it. In windows I always wait, but to help out the linux people I get those updates while they are still steaming hot.
I know that occasionally they will break something, but the way I see it that it is for a greater good.
