Upgrade from test to release

Is it I can apt-get upgrade from the test CD all the way to the release version ?

Good Question! This was my first pre release version that I have tried and haven't seen anything about it. Everything is working now, so I don't know if I want to upgrade

The daily updates you see will eventually lead to the final product. There's no need to re-install the final since it will be the same as your beta+updates.

Good to hear. I guess we should hold onto the original cd in case it is still marked as a source in the repositories.

It is worth the upgrade there are 300M+ changes since the test 4.

One of the disadvantages of using the beta release. Heaps of upgrades till the final release.

That, and lots of "oh, sh*t, I broke it!!" moments.

It's worth it at the finish, though.

immrlizard, you will have to manually remove the CD ROM from your Adept Manager sources list, if you don't want it there. I think including the CD is a new feature of Feisty, but once you've done the initial installation, including the packages that you wanted, there is no reason to leave it in the sources (assuming you have an internet connection).

In Adept, choose "view" and "repositories", and remove the "x" in the box in front of the CD ROM (or just highlight the CD ROM line and then click "Remove").

I looked for it and didn't see it. After looking around I found it in a tab about third party software.
