grapic at logout (green lizard / drake)

Can anybody tell my how to get back that little green (kde) lizard or drake (what is gone in the new editions of Kubuntu ?)

I mean the Little green mascot when you log out of Kubuntu

    --

In dapper drake it was still there, in fiesty it is now a boring flat menu with choices you can make (hibernate, end session and shutdown etc)

If possible i want that drake back, it is like linux without it's pinguin, to bad it's gone !!

Some who can help me how to reinstall, i will apriciate this very much

Thx for answering, i have it still at my Dapper installation too, but it isn't there anymore in feisty and i found that new logout menu pretty boring, so want it back as it was, i just liked that funny lizard.

Anyone knows were to config that in Linux config files maybe ?

I am not the only one who doesn't like this, see this post at a german forum.

It's to bad that just that native KDE logout is now so amazing plain and boring, please change it back or otherwise make a way to change it back

it must be possible to go back to the stock KDE logout dialog, I'll ask around, but not sure how easy it will be to do.

personally I like the new one, though it could be a tad smaller for my tastes.

Re: grapic at logout (green lizard / drake)

Quite possible to do this and a bit easy.

Go to ~/.kde/share/config and open up the ksmserverrc file or create that file if you don't have it. It's just a plain text file. Insert these two lines:

            [Logout]
            doUbuntuLogout=0
A value of 0 reverts to the original dialog. A value of 1 uses Kubuntu's new dialog.

So you get the best of both worlds! (old dialog + new fade effects)

I did this and it's great to have that back, but the "Restart" button doesn't work. Anybody have that problem?

The "Restart" button still doesn't function when going back to the KDE logout screen. Anyone?
