Compiz.

I'm running kubunt and compiz.
I configure compiz form gconf-editor and i can set some parameters.
But i can't get the CUBE plugin to work.

There is no way to make this cube rotating.... anyone can help?

I don't compiz -- beryl is working good on my Herd 5 -- better than it ever worked on Edgy. I had to install the Nvidia driver, correctly, which turned out to mean DON'T install nvidia-glx at all, for my setup. You might look into that angle.
