Please do not use the CODE tag when pasting content that contains formatting (colored, bold, underline, italic, etc).
The CODE tag displays all content as plain text, including the formatting tags, making it difficult to read.
Bongo,
if you download this http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html Select the tar.gx option to your home drive & right click & say extract to \blahblah don't select to here otherwise you will get a pile of "crap" in your home drive! once finished click on the new folder & you will find a file with the word installer right click & make sure in the properties it is set to executable. from a terminal cd /home/yourhomefolder/the_folder_name_of_adobe_acrobat once you can see the file installer "ls" will show the contents type sudo & the name of the installer file supply your logon password then take the defaults etc & it should install for you.
I am going from memory if there are any variations reply back & I will help.
Cary
