Synaptic not working?

Both of my systems (both on Feisty now) won't install software using Synaptic. The packages get downloaded but it gets stuck at the "preparing packages" part..

Strangeness.

This was not an issue last night, the only thing I've done is installef Feisty on my laptop today.

OK maybe I'm not the smartest kid on the block but having a dialog that one MUST respond to hidden behind a "details" submenu isn't exactly the best way to make something "user-friendly"

Synaptic works.. you just have to be able to read it's mind...

happy that both machines are working now though.

I had the same problem yesterday. I just did a dist-upgrade after I rebooted and all was well. Now I can get updates again (for the time being).
