MPlayer Firefox Plugin

MPlayer plugin won't connect to any media on the net... it just sits there. CNN... www.empiretheatres.ca on and on...

Just on windows media, it does connect to Quicktime content... I have the codecs installed though. Uninstall and reinstall them?

I installed mine through the synaptic package manger. Before I got all the codecs required for windows media I had to check the universe and multiverse boxes in the repositories section under settings.

ah now I didn't know I needed to do that.. I had installed the codecs using Adept.. but Adept wasn't working well. Hrmm.
