I treid to find skype in synaptic and have all the repos activated. Well at least the ones I know about.

Has anyone installed skype yet?

You could probably install skype from the medibuntu repos (Note: 3rd party repo, use with caution):

http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/

The sources.list line:
deb http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/ feisty free non-free
