    Button frames invisible until depressed

The frames around all the buttons on dialogs (closing apps for example) have disappeared recently. I know Feisty is in development but I thought I'd report this bug if that's indeed what it is.

Anyone else have this? I've been apt-get update/upgrade(ing) on a daily basis so my Feisty is up to the latest of whatever is in the repositories. I can post some screen shots if needed.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I'm using feisty also from the beginning now and I don't get what you mean by "frames around all the buttons" If you can explain more, I will tell you if I noticed the same

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply sky. A picture is worth 1000 words. Unfortunately, it tells me the uploader folder is full so I can't attach here but I've put them up via the links below. I hope that works!

Notice that where the buttons should be, there are no frames. Can't figure out how to take a screen shot with button depressed but trust me, when I click the button, the frame is outlined!

Does that clear it up? Anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

KDE version is 3.5.6, Feisty is up-to-date from the repositories (installed herd 3 a couple of weeks back).

      Thanks!

Ok, now I understand but sorry I'm not experiencing this at all on any of my feisty computer : 1 laptop, 1 computer (i386) and another (64bit). But maybe it's because I'm on feisty from the early beginning (just after edgy was released).

I've checked in SystemSettings > Appearance > Style and the style used is polyester, on the preview I can see the borders of buttons and when passing over it with mouse, it's becoming darker (inside). Do you have the same style ?

I don't have "polyester" as a choice. The style (which I've never changed) is currently set to "B3/KDE". I've never messed with styles or anything else in the "Appearance" system settings for that matter.

          I'm stumped!

PS. A very strange thing just happened ... I made a change to the Widget Style (so the Reset/Apply buttons could be pressed) and pressed Apply. Firefox suddenly closed without warning. I went back in and set it back to what it was (Widget Style of B3/KDE) and guess what? The frames around my buttons are now visible! So there must have been some sort of bug that prevented the frames from showing but when I went in to the Style setting and made a "change", it somehow took affect and now all is well! Hmmmm ...
